Yoga & Dance Classes

 

As of September, 2018 we have chosen to open up the Inner Balance Studio to the community at large in a cooperative fashion in order to provide greater access to a variety of yoga instructors and like minded individuals interested in teaching in a group setting at an affordable rate.

Restorative Yoga and JourneyDance will be returning.  A community Meditation series by donation has already begun on Thursday evenings and we look forward to inspirational art classes as well as weekend workshops.

Please download, print and fill out the Yoga Intake Form and bring with you to your first class.  Click on the session that you are interested in to register and make your online payment.

Classical Yoga with Janine Bibeau

Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30pm

Janine's 1-hour yoga classes are open to all levels. Her classes combine dynamic breathing exercises, gentle and fluid physical postures, and guided meditation. Join Janine to strengthen, balance, rejuvenate, and relax the body and mind.  No experience is necessary. Janine will guide you through modifications and more advanced poses as needed.  Responsible teens ages 12+ are always welcome!
*No class 10/31 or 11/21.

The practice includes: Yoga Chikitsa – Healing through Yoga Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, and Yoga Nidra; Vihara Chikitsa – Healthy Lifestyle; Ahara Chikitsa – Food as Medicine; Marma Chikitsa – Energy Pathways for Healing Body, Mind, and Consciousness, Tanmatra Chikits – Subtle Therapies, such as Mudras.

The Möbius Loop with its twisted single-sided band represents a metaphor for Moebius-Yoga, which features an intimate connection of mind and body within the Yoga practice.

Deep Soul Flow with Alaina Legere

Deep soul flow is a 75 minute vinyasa flow style class of the gentle nature with the goal to connect and ignite your soul. Students can expect time at the beginning of class to ground and explore different topics that we may face daily such as gratitude, self-love, and self-acceptance. From then we will gently warm up the body by linking our breath with movement. We will flow through a variety of standing postures and eventually we will cool our bodies down. Restorative postures and guided meditation will often be utilized to close our practice. This class will encourage students to look within and become aquatinted to find the love, support and answers that live within themselves.

Flow & Grow Yoga Class with Jenni Stevens

A gentle vinyasa flow class incorporating various forms of meditation and mindfulness practice; harnessing your ability for self-growth.  This class is suited for all levels. Focus on moving slowly into poses while using the breath as a tool to remain present and mindful. The slow pace allows you to enjoy each posture. Lots of stretching and lengthening combined with relaxation will leave you feeling refreshed and connected.

The JourneyDance™ Transformational Dance Movement Flow leads participants on a ritual journey of physical and emotional transformation. Through breath, sweat, and expression, you gain a palpable experience of yourself as pure powerful energy.
