Dr. Maura Sullivan, Psy.D, e-RYT200

Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Maura Sullivan completed graduate training in clinical psychology at the Pacific University School of Professional Psychology, her pre-doctoral internship at Northwestern University Counseling and Psychological services, and her post-doctoral residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and New Hampshire Hospital. She has practiced in New Hampshire as an independently licensed psychologist since 2003.

Collaborative practice has been central to Dr. Sullivan’s work across her career.  As a staff psychologist with the primary care team at Mid-state Health Center, Plymouth, NH, she provided outpatient counseling, crisis intervention, and inpatient consultation services.  On entering private practice, in Wolfeboro, NH, she continued to provide counseling, while participating in additional education to build her skills.  This included advanced training in psychological assessment, and a year of supervised consultation in neuropsychological assessment. She completed Level I and II EMDR training, and has worked to apply skills developed for treatment of trauma in the care of many patients.

Integration of yogic practices such as pranayama breathing, restorative asana postures, meditation, and mindfulness practices has been a growing aspect of Dr. Sullivan’s practice. She completed yoga certification training with Rasamaya Yoga-200 hr in 2014. She has developed a four-week yoga for anxiety series, presented to professional organizations regarding the integration of yoga and psychotherapy, and developed the “fire and rewire” practice as an affective balance tool in helping cultivate emotional balance and resiliency. Dr. Sullivan has participated in her personal yoga practice for over twenty years.

Dr. Sullivan is passionate about delivering ethical, effective, and collaborative treatment. She is scheduling individual therapy, private yoga sessions, and group sessions at Inner Balance Pelvic Health and Wellness on Wednesdays.
