Dr. Kate Vaillancourt, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Kate Vaillancourt is a licensed Psychologist in the state of NH. She received her Doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University New England in 2012. Dr. Vaillancourt completed a predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Carson Center for Adults and Families in Westfield, MA, where she received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and recovery from substance use and addictions. Her clinical training experience has also included an externship with Harvard Medical School at the Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain, inpatient crisis counseling and intervention at NH Hospital, and psychological and neuropsychological testing and evaluation with children, adolescents, and adults at The Counseling Center of Nashua. Dr. Vaillancourt has completed Postpartum Support International (PSI)’s Perinatal Mood Disorders Certificate Course and currently serves as a NH State Volunteer Support Coordinator for PSI.
Dr. Vaillancourt provides psychotherapy to adults with a special interest in the area of women’s mental health, including: postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, pregnancy termination, pregnancy loss, traumatic birth, parenting challenges, and grief and loss. Dr. Vaillancourt utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches (e.g. DBT, CBT, ACT, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, and Relapse Prevention) to help people improve their overall quality of life. Her approach to psychotherapy is integrative and client-centered: It is both informed by science and responsive to the needs of the individual.
